Coco Lee : 'Stay with me'. This is the title track from her million selling album. Written and produced by Simon, it gave him his first multinational No.1 hit! First the music tracks were prepared at echobass studios, then the vocals were recorded in Hong Kong, finally the whole record was assembled and mixed back at echobass. Bob the builder: Right Tool for the job. (Later retitled 'Don't go blaming the toolbox') From the million selling Bob the builder album. The Tweenies: Best friends forever. Title track from their best selling album ever. Written by Simon with Pop Legend Peter Spring and produced by Simon at echobass studios. On a later project (The Tweenies Christmas album) Simon booked Sarm West studio 3 (the cheapest!)for vocal recording. George Michael was working next door in studio 2, but he preferred studio 3.So much so that he asked if he could pay the difference to move us into the larger studio 2 so he could use studio 3! We tried to get him to sing on the record (after all Elton John had appeared on the Bob the builder album) but he gracefully declined. Echobass: (You are) The Weakest link. Single version of the TV series theme, featuring Anne Robinson. Goals and Gaffs: Main theme and montage. Some clips from Rory McGrath's Goals and Gaffs. Title track performed by SImon with Peter Spring. In one scene, Rory wears Simon's Nan's old glasses! Echobass interviewed on 'Where it's at' about the Weakest Link single.
